The Process

Here at ProTouch Careers, we pride ourselves on leveraging a highly collaborative approach to maximize the success of our clients. With newfound confidence, you’ll be able to step into the job market with more courage than ever before.

Gather Requirements

During this step, we'll work together to identify what you're looking for and what your targets are.

Review Current Documents

We will review your current documents/resume to identify areas of improvement. From there, we will create questions for you to answer that will help lead you to success.

Write First Drafts

Once we receive the needed information, we will write your new documents, including your resume, cover letter, LinkedIn, and/or biography (depending on your order).

Incorporate Edits

After you review the drafts, we will edit the documents based on your feedback and/or questions to ensure your satisfaction.

Deliver Final Drafts

Once edits are completed, we will deliver the final drafts in Word format.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Applicant Tracking Software (ATS)? Why is it important?

An ATS is what employers use to scan your resume for keywords to determine if the application should be passed along to the recruiter. If the ATS can't read your resume or if it doesn't include specific keywords, it won't be seen by a real person.

Do you write resumes from scratch?

Although many clients that we work with have an existing resume, we do also write resumes from scratch. With clients that have an existing resume, we pull information from that to build the new, fully optimized documents. If you don't have a resume, we can provide a questionnaire to gather needed information.

Can you log in to my LinkedIn profile to make the updates?

No, this is a violation of the LinkedIn User Agreement. I'll write the updates on a Word document for you to transfer to your profile via copy and paste.

What industries and roles do you serve?

We offer resume services to entry-level, mid-career, management, federal, and executive-level candidates across multiple industries. We've served clients across all aspects of business, sales, healthcare, human resources, information technology, education, and more!

What is the difference between a resume and a CV?

A CV is a comprehensive document that goes above and beyond a mention of education and work experience. It lists your achievements, awards, honors, publications, etc. A resume is rarely longer than 1-2 pages, where a CV has no limit.

How are federal resumes different from private sector resumes?

Federal resumes differ in style, formatting, and length. Many federal job applications require very specific details to be included on a resume.
